I’m a freelance photographer who enjoys traveling and photographing my adventures on land and underwater. I live in Nolensville, TN. As a photographer it is my mission to make a connection with the subject and the viewer when browsing my photography.
I love photography, particularly photographing marine life, all of this began as a child growing up in Miami, FL. At age 12 I received my ¬¬¬first Instamatic camera in a waterproof housing. To date, many of Steven’s award - winning images have been featured on different websites, publications, as well as seen on national television. I am an an ambassador for Cressi Dive Gear and exclusively use all Cressi equipment for diving and Ohana Dive Company in Nashville, TN.
Over the past several years, I have been involved in a worldwide effort to promote shark and ocean conservation. It is his hope that capturing images of these misunderstood creatures, while peacefully diving alongside of them, will dispel the popular belief that sharks are human predators. My goal is for sharks to be accurately portrayed as the beautiful, nonaggressive creatures they truly are. Without them, the delicate balance within our ocean’s ecological system would vanish - as would the ability to illustrate the ocean and its beauty. I give public presentations to the community and schools on shark conservation. I also guide an organized shark trip each year to educate adventurous divers and photograph sharks in their environment. The biggest excitement for me is sharing my images with many who are not fortunate enough to experience what I have experienced and documented with my photography over the years.
