A work of art has a soul or an aura. From this principle, gauging the value of a work of art is, after all, relative and subjective. Several criteria can influence the setting of the price, but these are too subjective to play a decisive role: The working time, the cost of the material, the technique used, the market in which you operate, the visual quality, your career as artist, the quality of the technique, the complexity of the subject Here are some statistics which is not intended to influence you but to be simple indicators. Works sold regularly, we have a wide variety of pricing at the Pictorem gallery. This scale ranges from $20 per impression up to several thousand (price per area). Typically the majority of our artists use a price per dimension (between $2 and $5 per inch / or between $10 and $25 per square foot /) but lately the most common price setting remains a profit percentage on the cost of manufacturing (typically between 75% and 150% profit)

The webpage algorithm will rank all the artwork listing based on Popularity. It can be influenced by the amount of traffic that you bring to your gallery form other medias. However, you can always purchase a Premium Account for more featured artist services.

Yes, you will have full access, on your sales history page. It inclues customer name and address, phone and email.

We do suggest using your best possible original size (without upscaling your image), in JPEG format at the highest quality settings. and please use sRGB as colorspace ( for the best color rending on your online gallery). If you see the loss in quality in the image preview on your online gallery, this is due to the web compression for faster browsing of your online gallery and we will print exactly the file you uploaded without this loss of quality.

To receive your commission, you can always request your payment by clicking on the ‘Ask for payment’ button on the Sales history section on your Account. However, the payments are issued only 30 days after the shipment of the artwork. Afterwards, the payment will be send directly to your PayPal Account.

No, you can purchase your artwork without the artist commission. In order to access it, first you have to login into your account and on the gallery section, you’ll find a ‘BUY’ button. Once you click you’ll see a different price listing from the regular one.

No, we are using exactly the original file you upload on your account. We don't compress or alter them. We do generate smaller preview images for sale on the website for many reason, but mostly to protect use from copying high resolution image from the website and improve the download speed for an optimal browsing and shopping experience, but the print quality of your photos will not be affected.

Our pricing system is simple. You’re the one that set the amount you desire to receive for each sale, and we add the printing cost and we obtain the selling price. The payments of the commission are issued after you made a sell and the order has shipped to the client.

In order to provide a more accurate and realistic count by human, we changed the way we increment our views. Any page refresh or visit from search engine robots will not be counted (one view/like per location (IP address and per month per artwork).

We do not make payment by cheque but we do payment via Wire Transfer. The minimum amount is 500$ and we do have a flat fee of 50$. We do not have any minimum amount for any paypal payment.

Your image has to fit a ratio that will correspond to our traditional puzzle print size. (approx 2:3 to 3:4 which is a regular typical digital camera format). If you have a square image or an image too panoramic, the puzzle print option will not be offered.

It's possible the website didn't processs them as their file extension was not supported, please make sure to upload files with extension .jpg or .jpeg. Please also make sure your filename only contain alphanumeric caracters. Some special symbol (such as #!*& ) or international caracters ( chinese, arabic ... ) might cause issue during the upload.

The public price any visitor see on the website is the retail price, including printing cost and your commission. To get a good example of how much commission you make, you can simply go to your account, your online gallery administration, one each artwork, click on the EYE icon with a $. It will show you a special page display the full price and the commission on each size. Flat price & price per dimension is easy to calculate. The percentage of profit however needs some clarification: Consider the percentage of profit is based on the printing cost, not the retail price As an exemple if an artwork is sold at 300$ on the site and you have 50% profit. Your profit is 100$. Cost is 200$ + 50% margin so 100$ = 300$

Most probably it's due to the low-resolution image of your artwork. We calculate a minimum resolution for each print, below 100dpi, we don't display the print option.

We do not make distinction about the size and format. And we try to make it simple, if you set your artwork as a limited edition, we simply mention that this image will be "printed" only x amount of time on various format.

It can take up to 24 hours to generate all the preview pictures to be able to sell your art on different mediums. Those images will be generated during the night and available the next morning

Our online gallery software will automatically display and offer print size based on the exact ratio of your image, so we don't crop or distor your image. To offer the exact ratio, you would need to upload your image with a ratio that correspond.

After uploading your image, our servers begin generating all preview images, including texture previews and wall room mockups. These previews are rendered in batches, so the process may take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours during busy periods. Each artwork you upload can generate up to 50 different preview images, which is why the process is not always instant. If you log in to your online gallery management page, you will see a circular icon next to your artwork title. Click on it to view more details about the rendering status.
