I make collage art, mixed media paintings with collage elements, and abstract paintings on watercolour paper and vintage magazine pages.
For me, making art was a way into the world and a way of stopping time, what’s now called being in the “flow state.”
I visited New York City from Florida, and moved back 2 years later to go to art school. After moving to New York City, I studied artistic anatomy with Robert Beverly Hale at the Art Students League of New York, and took classes in Chinese brush painting in SoHo.
Collage-making started in NYC, and grew to fruition in Seattle.
