Rabbi Aryeh Cohen is an expert in rabbinic studies with over 20 years of experience as a professor at American Jewish University and serving in other capacities. He has also published dozens of books, enjoyed TV appearances on CNN and Fox News, was named one of the "50 Most Influential Rabbis" by The Jerusalem Post Magazine, served as the Rabbi In Residence at Bend the Arc: Jewish Action (a progressive nonprofit), co-chaired CLUE's board for two terms until 2016.
Aryeh Cohen Minneapolis has been an educator for more than two decades, and is most well-known for his work in the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies. His research and scholarship sit at the intersection of Talmud, Jewish ethics, and social justice activism. This is present in his teaching especially with "Issues of Justice," a Project Based Learning course that students have to develop advocacy based on texts from Judaism related to a social justice issue. His latest book "Justice In The City: An Argument From The Sources Of Rabbinic Judaism" comes out of these same concerns as he looks at them through rabbinics knowledge.
