After returning from school several years ago, I realized that I had largely overlooked the natural beauty of where I had grown up in Illinois Farm Country. Like so many other photographers I have dreamed of traveling to exotic places across the globe. Beautiful art can be created in our own communities, and the majority of my photographs are of Central Illinois and the Midwest.
Photography has made me more aware of the world and has sharpened my senses. Wherever I wander I find myself searching for colors, lines, and patterns in nature.
