Lynn is a paper collage artist who creates with discarded paper materials. Some of her collages are created in a similar fashion to paintings with layers of paper applied like brush strokes. On close inspection, you can see all of the words and images that have been cut and torn before being placed with intention in order to achieve the "big picture." Her collages range in style from landscapes, florals, portraits, surreal, abstract, impressionist and often times tell a story through images found in donated magazines.
All of her work is analog and true to the original paper in regard to color and texture. Any manipulation of the paper is done with image transfer techniques using tape and other hands on methods like weaving. The paper is cut using a variety of tools, mostly scissors and Xacto blades. Digital manipulation is never used and the paper is cut right from the original source and pasted down.
