Jayne Kubicek, an artist and photographer from Massachusetts, finds joy in the small moments. In her travels, the ocean has consistently been a source of happiness. She loves how photography freezes time and provides a window into that experience- a chance to feel the emotion of a moment over and over again. She honed this passion during her time studying art at UMass Amherst, where she earned her BFA in Art Education. She went on to teach Elementary Art at public schools in Massachusetts.
During her time at UMass Amherst, she completed an intensive summer program in LaNapoule, France, studying Fine Art and enjoying the wonders of life on the Mediterranean, while staying at a historic castle– Chateau de LaNapoule.
Jayne’s Ocean and Nature Photography is a culmination of her experiences over the last 20 years: studying art on the French Riviera; spontaneous trips to her favorite coastal places in New England, playing in the sand and finding treasures with her six-year-old daughter; and peaceful, contemplative strolls along the shore. Jayne has always felt that art is a therapeutic endeavor, giving her a chance to express emotion, appreciate the present moment, and feel a greater sense of connection with the world around her. She aspires to share the beauty and tranquility she finds in nature, and she hopes it resonates and possibly even sparks joy in you as well.
