A digital/Ai artist with a film background. I came to art in as a therapeutical remedy when I was in my lowest of lows, post cancer treatment, 2018. And I remained captivated by the power of the process long after recovery. For over 2 decades as a television director I made a career of taking scripted content - words on a page - and making those ideas into images on screen to tell captivating stories. When cancer took away my means to effectively communicate in the television sphere, I took to art to continue to speak. I still direct TV today but to a much lesser degree and use Ai generated material in my process (not seen in my gallery) to express the detail and nuance where my vocabulary once did the heavy lifting .
My personal Ai philosophy is rooted in intent. As a creator I have an understanding and respect for intellectual property and I strive to make the most original art I can using the existing Ai training models. I do not use artist references in my prompts but rather built my work on art styles, not artist(s) styles. New tools in the Ai space allow me to develop and hone my own styles and to my digital art.
