My Name is Rob Novack owner of Dyslensic Visuals gallery, I was born and raised in the Fraser Valley region of British Columbia where my exposure to the vast natural beauty and the local West Coast Native customs & traditions have had a great influence on my artistic expressions from a very early age.
Throughout the years my chosen mediums have changed and evolved over time as has the regional landscape, technology and local culture as well, this clash between old school culture, traditions and the environment has had a great influence on my artistic expressions where I incorporate the past, present, both natural and un-natural surroundings with a thought invoking influence using my own photography and unique digital techniques.
Even though I’ve worked for decades at a local university with daily exposure to a large Visual Arts Program, I have chosen intentionally to remain a self-taught digital artist and photographer so that I may remain different from the rest, uncommercialized and create the unique. I take great pride in producing these unique works without using digital filters or Artificial intelligence programs, all works are meticulously hand created using similar techniques as I used when painting on canvas, all that's changed now is I use a camera, my brush is a mouse and the canvas a computer screen.
