Diane Holmes is a photographic artist based in Ottawa, Ontario. Her work explores the intersections of environment, memory, and transformation, revealing how human presence lingers in both landscapes and objects.
Holmes studied photography at the School of the Photographic Arts: Ottawa (SPAO), where her work was featured in SPAO’s APEX Exhibition in 2024, 2025 and 2026. Most recently, her work was displayed by the John B. Aird Gallery in Toronto as part of the WHO is Your Self-ie exhibition. She holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Ottawa, and a diploma in Web Design from Algonquin College. These diverse disciplines inform her sensitivity to both the emotional and structural aspects of her subjects. She continues to document objects and industrial, urban, and natural spaces across Canada, always looking for the traces of what we leave behind.
