Taken during my trip across Japan I stopped in Matsushima. A beautiful coastal town a short train ride from Sendai. This photo was taken near the Entsuin shrine

showcasing the vibrant color and tranquility of the grounds. Bamboo and Japanese Maple trees could all be seen

creating a blend of color in the fall. I sort of stumbled across this area as I was looking for a place to stop and eat.

Hello, I'm Joe. I'm a traveling landscape photographer who has a dream of providing beautiful art to be admired from the comfort of home through prints. During the pandemic I worked in the logistics industry, a stressful time in itself, but especially working in global supply chains. After saving up some money from the little that I made, I embarked on a journey to become a full-time photographer. I left my home in Chicago with nothing but my Hyundai Sonata, camping supplies, and my camera, with only one thing on my mind, to photograph and share the natural beauty around me. It has been a struggle, to leave the comfort of home, and the industry that I know for the volatility of a freelance career. Luckily the autumn colors were still on the trees late into November and I was fortunate enough to capture them. The bright reds, yellows and cool greens created a scene full of color and life.
