In Western Australia, my wife and I loved staying in Margaret River’s historic ‘Basildene Manor’ When I saw the magnificent gardens contained not only an oak tree grown from an acorn from Buckingham Palace, but also my favorite, a Jacaranda tree, I just had to do a painting of it.
