So many things influence your artwork. Your sense of place. I grew up in Miami. People say my work was inspired by Florida colors. I figured out a long time ago artists were different. We simply aren’t happy if we're not creating. I'm best known in the world of children's books and my stories and artwork have been published over sixty times including "Rotten Ralph." Finding an art style, or “point of view,” requires complete honestly. The medium doesn’t matter. “Push the envelope,” Tom Wolfe said, in his brilliant book, "The Right Stuff." That’s right.
