Daniel Cartigiano is a US based artist best known for creating large portrait paintings in an abstract style. My paintings show portraits through the use of shapes, textures, marks, layering, image reduction, and simplification.
Daniel was both born and raised in New York City. His passion in art started at a young age because both of his grandmothers were painters. He began his career as a graphic artist in the publishing industry, and has spent the last 15 years working as an illustrator in the fashion industry. He still needed a creative outlet, so he pursued Fine Art and now works in a variety of mediums.
