Brian is an emerging self-taught artist living in London, Ontario, Canada who has been given an opportunity to explore his creative side. Brian sees himself as a contemporary fine art artist whose paintings reflect our society today and are solely painted for aesthetic, visual purposes. His work is not dictated by style but by the colours, textures, and the processes required to capture beauty even from the most mundane subjects. His inspirations come from many sources his family, life, nature which challenge him to bring the subject to life in a way that provokes emotion, memory or thought in the viewer.

Painting is Brian’s way of sharing the excitement in what he is seeing and experiencing. It is his way of sharing his visions, emotions, memories and thoughts. Brian also sees painting as a way to challenge and motivate himself to interpret what he sees and what he can do. It is about searching for something that inspires him and then challenging himself to create it.

As for being an artist, to Brian, it is all about exploring different elements of art. It is all new to him the styles, the processes and the materials, it’s like he is a kid in a candy shop. Learning, creating then sharing it. As for the stories behind his paintings, to him, they are not what is essential. What is important are the stories the viewer sees and creates when they look at his work. It’s about building a relationship between the viewer and his work.
