Welcome to Alpenglow Explorer. I’m Michael McRae, and for over 27 years, I have documented the enduring spirit of the Alberta backcountry. From the jagged summits of the Rockies to the silent, micro-landscapes of the Boreal floor, my work is a study of the "Atmospheric Anchor"—the points where nature provides us with the quiet resilience we need in our modern lives.
