ABOUT THIS ARTWORK: SANDY STREAM POND
Some views are just too vast to view in one scene. The feeling was overwhelming as to how wide of sight was to be had for miles around me. Standing in the dead center of Maine's wonderful wilderness there was sense of feeling larger than life being a part of something so majestic. The people we met along the path spoke with a whisper as they passed by. This was out of respect to the nature that surrounded us. There was an unspoken code of silence between us, the wilderness and the country that enveloped us into the trees. The subtle hush of the wind was all that we heard... and it was perfect. In order to create this panoramic scene, I took 13 images and combined them into this extremely large composition. This is a view of 180 degrees across the landscape. Many have come here and all have left nothing behind but the prints of their boots while taking with them only memories and photographs. This is Maine as beautiful as it should be.
