The fluid shapes of water, vanishing on the pavement. Blisters rising from a streak of scorched ink. But Pamela Kirk Zieburtz says, “When I find those moments, I’m pulled to capture them photographically to sustain the visual experience.”During her artistic process she revisits these "painterly photographs" time and again to understand more deeply what it is that captivated her visual imagination. She loves seeing people respond instinctively to her work, even when they don’t necessarily understand where it started or what it initially represented.From humble materials to the glorious natural realm, beauty can be found in simplicity, texture, mystery, impermanence, and patina.
