Karen Barton has been painting full time since 1988. She has specialized in portraiture for most of her career. From her experience with portraits she has become adept at portraying the way light defines form and reflects colors. Her medium of choice spans from charcoal, pastel, oil, acrylic and even colored pencil. With each of these mediums she is chasing the light. For without light there is nothing to see. As a Christian, Karen sees the beauty and grandeur of nature as pure and rich inspiration for her artwork and her goal is to bring attention to the God who made it.
