My subject matter includes architectural, waterscapes, landscapes, macro and abstracts both nature and other interesting objects. My wildlife subjects include songbirds, raptors, reptiles and mammals. I have received special recognition in the form of competition winners and/or published images including Canadian Geographic, Canadian Wildlife, Photolife, Sigma Canada, Outdoor Photography Canada, Our Canada and PhotoNews. I love to spend my days in nature capturing everything from landscapes to animals to a simple flower or a minute insect. I am fortunate to have many trails in my area, two rivers, the Speed and Eramosa Rivers, a lake (Guelph Lake) and many streams, creeks and wetlands where I can hike alone and spend hours capturing life's most serene and peaceful moments. I also vacation in the summer and fall in northern Ontario where the rugged landscape, rock formations and beautiful lakes and rivers are just outstanding. "Rockin Reflections" by Debbie Oppermann. I am fascinated by rock in all forms, the texture, pattern, color, design and striations and this amazing, striking, rocky shoreline with terrific water reflections was a thrilling discovery on the Key River Ontario Canada. This is one of my favorite captures with not only the beautiful detailed rock but the reflection as well.
