Larry Edward Kamphausen (aka Priestly Goth) is a Chicago based artist, working mainly in egg tempera. Since 2009, their work has been primarily focused on religious art in the Eastern Orthodox tradition of iconography. In recent years they've begun to use the icon technique to paint other subjects. Larry has also in the past 4 years expanded into digital art. They occasionally paint subjects in acrylic. Larry Edward Kamphausen, has shown work with Gallery B1E, the Rogers Park Art Gallery and participated in the Milwaukee Avenue arts fest in 2010 and 2011. They were a founding member of Agitator Gallery, in Chicago, and curated two full exhibitions and a pop up Gallery as a member/curator. They resigned as a member of Agitator in the spring of 2021.
