I am inspired by the beautiful landscapes of southern Vermont that surround our home, and I work to depict the emotions that arise in this wild yet gentle place. I am also inspired by metaphysical themes and deeply-held faith. Most of my work could be described as improvised, barely-guided chaos, which is how I often find life in general, and I attempt to visually express the unsayable and even unknowable. I’m a born-and-bred intellectual, but painting is my quest to feel all the feelings. So to experience my work to its fullest, consider laying aside the idea of “what is it?” and instead move toward “how does it feel?” I hope my work might inspire you to wonder, and marvel at the beauty and mystery of the world. My work has been featured at The Beyond Gallery, Stone Coast Studio, and Bringing You Vermont. I also have many happy patrons throughout New England and beyond.
