This set of work spans Impressionism, abstract expressionism, and surrealism. Many of these paintings use bold yet natural colors and bravado brushwork that challenges my more refined work. Others pieces are more subdued, softly suggesting the bright light and humid atmosphere of Northern Louisiana in the Southern United States. In the PLANETARY LANDSCAPES project, you will find the cool, mysterious light of twilight and night settings. Shadows and the effect night has on the mind draw out my wonder and awe for the unreachable parts of the universe.
