“When we give space to watch things, we find significance in things we normally wouldn't find." - Alan Watts I have been drawn to the field of creative arts since I was seven years of age. It began when I won first place in my schools districts art show with a water color painting. Soon after my painting experience I became interested in photography. I am on a constant exploration and photographic discovery, which so far, has lasted 37 years. My desire for the photographic arts led me to try many different cameras ranging from 35mm film, Polaroid, DSLR's, and 8MM video, all from different companies such as Sony, Polaroid, Canon, and Nikon. I am currently shooting with Nikon My travels have taken me to the far east of Singapore, as far north as Iceland, as far south as Australia, and as far west as Romania. Through the Tens-of-thousands of photos taken, I discovered a passion for Macro photography. I found another world living in the world of Macro. Every perspective creates a story. The light provides a unique reflection creating new life and I am always in awe when I see the world of Macro in my art. There is an energy I feel when I am in nature that draws me to take photos with particular camera settings, exposures, and angles. I sometimes surprise myself when I see the photo once I upload them to my computer as I do my best not to force a shot but to let nature's energy flow through me creating the art. I learned there is an understanding of how nature reflects colors, bends shadows, and entertains us if we give her the opportunity. There is an artistic beauty living in the Macro world and it brings us in-touch with the sensitivity of the beautiful earth we live. "Experience and gain artistic value through a perspective lens by giving our life visual space. Photography scripts the beauty of this world, which can be blurred to the naked eye.
