Hi and welcome to my gallery. My name is Claudia Brandes, and I live in Chile, the beautiful south of the world. Since I can remember I have been creating objects and paintings. As a child it was my passion, but growing up I leaned towards design and for many years I became a weekend painter. Until I finally decided resume my passion full time and share my work in public (hard for me, I really am a non-public person). I work mostly with acrylic, but also use watercolor, pencils and other medias if I find its necessary for a good result. Also, I work digitally and now my iPad is my best friend! Nature and human nature are my passion and inspiration. For many years I have been working with flowers and landscapes and, most recently, I began working on portraits. I love to represent nature in my own way, in a vibrant an colorful style, working each color in thin and transparent layers, one on top of the other until achieving the richness and depth of the color that inhabits my mind.
