The Spring Smelt runs in Washington & Oregon state attracts dare I say 100’s of thousands of birds. The Smelt lay their eggs in the tributaries up & down the Columbia River & the Smelt are very good eating. Flying overhead there were many eagles circling and I started taking random pictures. It wasn’t until a couple days later that I looked at them. One stood out.
