When you view my work, you are looking at pieces of emotion, healing, survival, reflection, and transformation all layered into color and texture. I do not create from perfection. I create from feeling, energy, experience, and moments that are difficult to explain with words alone. A lot of my art begins with emotion and grows naturally layer by layer until it feels complete. Sometimes the painting teaches me what it wants to become along the way. My work is inspired by healing, feminine energy, symbolism, spiritual reflection, and the beauty that can still exist after difficult seasons in life. Every canvas carries a story, a shift, or a piece of growth inside of it. Thank you for taking the time to step into my world and experience my journey of turning survival into expression.

Mixed media on canvas, date unknown Collection: Artist’s Archive In this layered abstraction, Renee Grey explores the duality of erosion and endurance. Horizontal strokes and scraped textures evoke the surfaces of weathered walls, while fiery oranges and flashes of cobalt insist on breaking through the darkness. The central rupture of unpainted canvas serves as both absence and portal: a silence carved into the noise. For Grey, this void reflects the spaces where memory falters, where loss leaves its imprint, and where new light insists on entering. Though the original painting is no longer in the artist’s possession, it remains an important document of her exploration of resilience, impermanence, and the insistence of color within decay.
