Caldwell 7, also known as NGC 2403, is a stunning spiral galaxy located about 10 million light-years away in the constellation Camelopardalis. Spanning 80,000 light-years, it’s a vibrant cosmic structure with pink, star-forming regions of ionized hydrogen and dark dust lanes, visible in its spiral arms. What’s particularly interesting is that it hosted a brilliant supernova in 2004—Supernova 2004dj—one of the brightest seen in over a decade, adding a dramatic flair to its celestial beauty.
