On a picturesque spring evening, a brilliant full moon rises above the Atlantic Ocean at Lauderdale by the Sea. This particular full moon, known as the Worm Moon, aligned with the Spring Equinox—a rare and remarkable occurrence when both the moon and the sun rise exactly due east. As the first full moon of spring, the Worm Moon gets its name from the old Farmer's Almanac, symbolizing the time when earthworms begin to emerge from the soil, stirred by the warming embrace of the season. This alignment not only highlights the beauty of the moon but also marks a significant moment in the seasonal cycle.
