My work celebrates The West and all the things that make it unique ~ its characters, landscapes, skies, animals, colors, cultures, history and more. My goal is to celebrate the extraordinary in what we might otherwise see as ordinary. Much of The West is disappearing, so it drives me to celebrate and cherish its beauty. I love using color, exaggeration, textures and impressionism to see The West in new ways. I paint in all oils, acrylic, charcoal, mixed media and digital. I also love what digital painting is bringing to art. The textures and mixed media are extraordinary. When I paint digitally it's always done by hand using a stylus and drawing pad. No AI is ever used in my work ~ just hard work. The textures I can achieve are so exciting, and the clean up is easy. For my hand painted digital work, I offer 5 Artist Proof originals with acrylic embellishments and varnish that you can custom order directly from me.
