ABOUT THIS ARTWORK: MILLENNIAL NOT-SO-HONEST ABE
This painting of Abraham Lincoln, entitled "Not So Honest Abe," features the iconic president in a much different light than we would expect. Lincoln is portrayed here as a young "millennial," complete with ear gauging, a punk rocker-inspired hairstyle and an X-Man shirt under a leather rocker jacket with an "I love House Music" symbol embroidered over his heart. He is also a rocking a statement size necklace that reads ‘Integrity’, the jewelry is the company logo for MediaBrix- where the artist was CTO from 2012-2015. While at first, he might appear as a rebel, the shirt and other details in this contemporary portrait still gives Abe an approachable and respectable look. It is an original take on an iconic figure that is sure to make an impression. The painting features bold primary colors with Black and White- a signature style for the artist. This piece is part of the artists RED collection.
