ABOUT RICK SMITH contact artist

Welcome to RICK SMITH-ART. Based in Avalon (Sydney Australia). I have been painting and drawing for many years and my art is now evolved to be predominantly Abstract Expressionist style. My passion is to create abstract art, because with the use of colour and texture it allows me to communicate emotions and ideas in a subjective way to invoke the subconscious mind. Please take a moment to look through a small selection of paintings in my gallery. I understand that galleries prefer artists to provide one style, however I like to experiment and create as you can see from my displayed pieces (of course I can produce a series in the same style if required). If you are looking for a stunning piece of decorative wall art for a room or for an interior decor project, please contact me for more information as I am sure we could work together to fulfil your requirements. All of my artwork is supplied with a certificate of authenticity and professionally packed/shipped. Many of my art pieces have been sold to private collectors around Australia and my artwork has been sold to the corporate office of Neutron Pty Ltd (Australia) to be displayed in their Boardroom and Front office. ABOUT THIS ARTWORK: LA LUMIèRE
This Abstract with vivid colors and textured paint is called «la lumière» because of the mystical background colours that create the light. The paint has been applied with a palette knife to enhance the textured effect and blending of the colours. Good quality acrylic paint was used on gallery stretched canvas with varnish for protection and is ready to hang.
