Sometimes, hobby may become the most important part of one’s life… That was what happened to me. I was born in the last century in the small distant mountain village of Georgia (then the republic of the former Soviet Union. After our family moved to Azerbaijan (then another republic (there were 15 of them in the Soviet Union), for more than 25 years, my education, love, interests, plans for the future,
time and efforts were dedicated to classical music. Eventually, I became a professional musician and worked as a piano teacher for about 15 years. I loved my profession, my pupils. And they loved me.
Then, due to the political situation (the war between Azerbaijan and Armenia), I emigrated to the United States. Unfortunately, I was not able to work as a musician here (for many reasons). And it happened to be that I learned the new skills (along with the new language). Which had nothing to do with the classical music… But… my soul was still looking for more than just working in the medical office. I started… painting! It became like some type of obsession! I could paint day and night (on paper, canvas or even all the walls of my apartment!
Then, I started making jewelry… And taking photographs. Hundreds, tens of hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands, etc. It became my new obsession! And then came digital Art!!! Where I could create images from scratch or incorporate my paintings! This became - again! - my TRUE inspiration - almost like an addiction! Creating the images (a small part of which are presented in this gallery) is probably the best part of my life where I feel that I can express myself as fully as my heart and soul want… I hope my art touches your heart and soul too. As to my style or categories of my imagings… Their are often eclectic… abstract or realistic, or surrealistic. Most of the time - story-telling… Sad, dramatic, overdramatic even… Reflecting many things which I saw in my life with my own eyes and kept in my soul.
