My name is Devorah Reeves and I am a self-taught photographer specializing in nature and landscapes, based in breathtaking Tofino, Canada. For as long as I can remember I have been my happiest when wandering in the wilds. There is a magic - a connection - that happens when one is immersed in nature. It is a portal into a visual language that is universal and constantly changing form with the changing light. It is a dance of the senses. Photography allows me to share moments in time - transporting the viewer to an opportunity of visual discovery.
This collection of photographs represent my current style and voice as an artist. I am drawn to the power of composition. My photographs are taken purposefully with the intent of creating images that are striking and meaningful. I love textural images and many of my photographs are painterly in style.
I am curious and creative and excited to continue to evolve as an artist.
