I am a French-Canadian figurative artist based in the province of Quebec. After years of drawing and working in charcoal, I began painting in oil, drawn to its depth, slowness, and ability to hold subtle shifts in light and atmosphere.
My work explores quiet psychological tension through staged compositions, symbolic encounters, and theatrical light. I am interested in moments that feel familiar but slightly displaced, where a shadow, a gesture, or the presence of an animal can shift the meaning of a scene.
Working primarily in figurative realism, I use restrained palettes, negative space, and subtle surrealist elements to create images that invite interpretation rather than resolve into a single narrative.
