A deep gorge in the Lost River near Lincoln, New Hampshire is a favorite place to explore and cliff jump into the deep pools in the gorge. Orange toned granite cliffs have been carved into strange shapes by eons of moving water. The foot bridge spanning the river is no longer there. This image is the result of many hours spent digitally manipulating an original photograph to resemble a fine, detailed oil painting on linen canvas. The painterly effect is especially noticeable in the larger print sizes. I accept commissions for oil paintings based on my photography.
