There’s a moment that changes everything, not a scream, not a fight, but a breath. The kind that comes after years of holding it in. She’s caught right there, between what was taken from her and what she’s about to claim back. The red in her collar burns with memory, of every time she was told to soften, to shrink, to wait her turn. The yellow that floods her skin glows like reclamation, not of innocence but of power. This isn’t about starting over; it’s about starting true. She isn’t angry anymore, though she has every reason to be. Anger got her here, but it’s not what keeps her standing. What holds her now is conviction, hard-earned and quiet, the kind that doesn’t ask permission. She’s not reaching for perfection. She’s reaching for peace that doesn’t cost her voice. She Wanted More is the story of that turning point, the second a woman decides she’s done surviving and ready to live on her own terms. In North Idaho, or anywhere in the world, that shift changes everything. It’s how movements begin, not with noise, but with one woman finally saying, enough.
