7. What to Avoid

Common mistakes that get affiliate accounts suspended

Trademark keyword bidding

You are strictly prohibited from bidding on Google Ads or any paid advertising using the keywords "pictorem" or "pictorem.com". This is a violation of the affiliate agreement and will result in immediate termination.

Coupon / cashback sites (without approval)

Do not create coupon or cashback pages for Pictorem without prior written approval. These sites attract deal-seekers and inflate returns, which is not beneficial to the program.

Spam and unsolicited emails

Never send unsolicited bulk emails (spam) promoting your affiliate links. This violates anti-spam laws (CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR) and our terms, and will result in account suspension.

Self-referrals

You may not use your own affiliate link to place orders for yourself. Self-referral commissions will be reversed and repeated abuse leads to permanent account closure.

Fake or misleading reviews

Do not publish reviews claiming to have ordered from Pictorem if you haven't. Authenticity is both a legal requirement (FTC, ASA) and key to long-term audience trust.

Placing links on low-quality sites

Avoid placing Pictorem affiliate links on adult, gambling, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate websites. This violates our brand guidelines and will result in disqualification.

8. Tracking & Optimising

Measure what works and double down on it

Use your affiliate dashboard

  • Check your Affiliate Summary tab regularly to see clicks, orders, and commissions
  • Identify which months or campaigns drove the most orders and replicate that content
  • Track your click-to-order conversion rate — if clicks are high but orders are low, improve your landing page or content quality

Use UTM parameters for granular tracking

Add UTM parameters to your affiliate links to track exact sources in Google Analytics:
