Erwann K — Fine Art Photographer & Visual Composer
Originally from Brittany, France, and based in Quebec for over fifteen years, I have developed a photographic practice that I define as visual composition.
I approach each place as an encounter. I photograph intuitively, collecting forms, light, textures, and traces of time. Later, I return to my archives and bring together several photographs from the same territory.
Through layering, erasing, and shifting, I transform these fragments to create an image that has never existed in this form, while remaining entirely rooted in reality.
I do not seek to reproduce a place, but to compose from what it has left within me. Each work remains open, allowing viewers the freedom to create their own interpretation.
My work has been exhibited in Quebec and internationally, including Montreal, New York, and Paris, and has received several international photography awards. Some of my works are now held in public and private collections.

LIBERTY SUNSET
LIBERTY SUNSET is a visual composition inspired by New York and the iconic presence of the Statue of Liberty. Architecture, sky and photographic fragments come together under the changing light of sunset, creating a reconstructed perception of the city.
Rather than documenting a single moment, the composition brings together different elements of the territory to create an image suspended between the recognizable and the imagined.
