ABOUT THIS ARTWORK: THE MOONLIGHT SAMURAI
This artwork combines suprematism and art nouveau Alphonse Mucha's style to tell the tale of a samurai named Tsukahara Bokuden, who was known for his swordsmanship skills. One night, while walking under the full moon, he encountered a young woman being harassed by a group of bandits. Bokuden drew his sword and defeated the bandits, saving the woman. Moved by his bravery, the woman revealed herself to be a goddess and granted Bokuden immortality. From then on, Bokuden wandered the world as the "Moonlight Samurai," using his skills to protect the innocent and uphold justice under the light of the full moon.
