Hello, I'm Eric Franks and I'm glad you're taking the time to view my portrait galleries. I was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland and although I’ve lived in the United States for many years, I do still have a Scottish accent. I got a camera for my 10th birthday and have been clicking shutters ever since. After more than three decades in the information systems industry, I retired from the high-tech world and turned my photography hobby into a business. One of the best decisions of my life. I now get to do what I really enjoy - photographing people. In addition to portraiture, I have photographed events, travel locations, real estate, products, and fine art. I have a sizable stock photo library and many of those images have appeared in European magazines and newspapers. Location: Pony Pasture Rapids Park in the City of RIchmond. The James River is a river in the U.S. state of Virginia that begins in the Appalachian Mountains and flows 348 miles to Chesapeake Bay. It is one of the longest rivers in America that begins and ends in the same state. The James River watershed encompasses approximately 10,000 square miles, which makes up almost 25% of the state. The Falls of the James at the city of Richmond drop 105 feet over seven miles. This offers a Class I to Class V rapids and represents the only white water that cuts through the heart of an urban area.
