> Parent / Child Reader DevinStory # 37 begins here: The child left the dancing garden of Odoriko and followed a path that grew warmer with every step — not hot, not burning, just warm like a hand held in kindness. The sky above began to glow with a color the child had never seen before — a color that felt like hope turned into light. Then the air shifted, and a great, bright shape descended from the sky with a grace that made the world go quiet. The Firebird landed before the child — feathers of gold, orange, and sun‑bright red, glowing without heat, shining without flame. Its eyes were kind. When it spread its wings, the light around them lifted like a song that didn’t need sound to be heard. The child felt a surge of courage — not loud, not wild, but steady, like a heart remembering its own strength. Vincent Van Harley appeared beside them, his starlit bike reflecting the Firebird’s glow in ripples of golden light. “The Firebird,” he said, “doesn’t burn. It brightens. It rises so others remember they can rise, too.” The Firebird lowered itself, inviting the child to feel its warm, glowing feathers. When they did, the world around them brightened — not with fire, but with new possibility.
