ABOUT THIS ARTWORK: DEFIANT HEART
The Ukraine Relief Collection is a series of artworks and images created to honor the courage resilience and humanity of the Ukrainian people. At the center of the collection is *Heart of the Fighters* an experimental short film by Emmy Award–winning artist photographer cinematographer and technologist Alan Teitel. Inspired by the colors and symbolism of the Ukrainian flag the film evolves through fractal imagery motion and music into a visual expression of sacrifice determination and the fight for freedom. The project has received international recognition including an Honorable Mention from the Athens International Monthly Art Film Festival and Official Finalist recognition from the WSXA Paris International Film Festival. From the film Teitel has selected individual frames that stand as independent works of art while remaining part of a larger visual narrative. These images capture moments of transformation energy and emotion translating movement into permanent visual statements. Through the use of mathematics color and dimensional structure the collection explores themes of hope endurance and the human spirit in times of conflict. Featured within the collection is **Defiant Heart** a symbolic work in the colors of the Ukrainian flag. The heart represents the strength and unity of the Ukrainian people while the red sword symbolizes their determination to defend their homes families and freedom. To make the work accessible to a wider audience and encourage participation in the fundraising effort *Defiant Heart* is being specially offered as a 16 x 16 inch fine art print. A portion of proceeds from sales within the Ukraine Relief Collection will be directed toward humanitarian initiatives supporting children affected by the war. Through both the film and the artwork it inspires the collection seeks not only to raise awareness of Ukraines ongoing struggle but also to provide meaningful support for those whose futures have been disrupted by conflict.
