Meyer Melanie
I am a black and white fine art photographer working internationally. For many years I worked professionally in people photography — portraits, weddings and commissioned work. That time taught me discipline, precision and the responsibility of capturing moments that truly matter. But over the years, my focus shifted. I became less interested in documenting events and more interested in capturing atmosphere. Silence. Light. Space. Today, my work is minimalist, reduced and intentional. I work primarily in black and white because it removes distraction and reveals structure, emotion and depth. Winter landscapes, quiet scenes and subtle tonal transitions allow me to create images that feel calm yet powerful. My goal is simple: To create art that is accessible — but never ordinary. Some works are released as limited editions for collectors. Others are available as carefully produced fine art prints. Every image is built around one question: What remains when everything unnecessary is removed? My work is created for modern interiors, collectors and those who appreciate subtle emotional depth in visual art. International shipping available.
ABOUT THIS ARTWORK: WTR 02 STONE SAIL
Stone Sail Rising quietly from the Mediterranean, a solitary rock formation becomes the central focus of Stone Sail. Its sculptural silhouette recalls the shape of a sail—an enduring symbol of travel, orientation, and the passage of time. By removing the distraction of colour, the photograph emphasizes light, texture, and form, allowing the landscape to become both timeless and symbolic. The image does not describe a destination; instead, it offers a place for contemplation, where natural forms evoke personal memories and quiet reflection. As the second work in Where Time Remains, Stone Sail deepens the dialogue between landscape and remembrance, continuing the series' calm and meditative visual language.
