An old homestead sits abandoned in rural Shepody New Brunswick, beautifully framed by a huge tree that has also seen better days. I’m so glad that I got to photograph this decaying beauty many times over the years, because it burned down last year, and the big tree fell, a few months later!This image won Best in Class for Fine Art in the Professional Photographers of Canada - Atlantic Region image competition in 2019, with the title “Reclaimed Wood”.The print always sells well locally, and many of the locals still remember good times in this home.
