My name is Steve "T-Rex" Trexler, and I'm a photographer residing in the Denver Colorado Metro area where I've lived since August of 1987. I am retired from a professional accounting career and have since spent my time traveling wherever and whenever I can. Having been a former scout leader for over 26 years, I became an avid hiker, backpacker, and mountain climber. In so doing, I have planned numerous hiking, backpacking, and climbing trips, for not just the scouts, but the many personal friends that I've enjoyed hiking with through the years. After spending so much time in the outdoors, I naturally took up photography in order to record for posterity, the many trips that I've been on.

This image came into being on 10/19/2021 at 5:41pm and was taken during the photographic “golden hour” as the sun started setting in the west creating a glow over the mountains surrounding the location known as Gamboa Point. This photo was looking north towards the “Big Creek Bridge”, as can be seen in the distance. Gamboa Point is one of the many scenic overlooks along California’s famous Pacific Coast Highway (Highway 1), which extends over 100 miles between Monterey and Morro Bay.
