ABOUT THIS ARTWORK: TWINING TREES BOTANY BAY
What a morning it was! Botany Bay and Boneyard Beach on Edisto Island, south of Charleston, South Carolina presented several struggles to get where I was planning. Plan on arriving near low tide as high tides can sometimes make this area inaccessible, especially near full moons. The marsh areas offer many photo opportunities, but the star of the show is the forest of dead Live Oak trees being reclaimed by Mother Nature by the ocean edge. The area is sometimes foggy and moody, but all weather conditions seem to offer an abundance of photo opportunities.
