What do they say? In war strategic planning only lasts until after the first battle? Traveling photographers run into the same issues. We planned to take the car ferry from Bodo to Moskenes on the Norwegian coast to the Lofoten Islands, but there were gale force winds. The ferry was shut down. The option was to wait until the morning and take a chance and hope the ferry was running or drive further north to the next open crossing which turned into a 4 1/2 hour journey including the ferry cross from Bognes to Lodingen. Photographed is the ferry landing with 3 ferry boats off in the distance.
