Life’s Trail Photography is about getting out and exploring, hitting the two lane highways and dirt roads. Seeing things that you don’t see every day.

I have always had a love for the outdoors and especially the mountains. Growing up in Minnesota the mountains seemed so far away. So my first real big adventure was moving to Glacier National Park in Montana to work the summer season of 2003. I don’t think I went anywhere there without my camera in my pocket. After that summer season I couldn’t imagine going back to the flat midwest. So my now husband and I moved to Park City, Utah. With camera in hand I started to explore Park City and the surrounding areas.

I have traveled all over the coasts of Washington, Oregon and California. My love of the mountains has drawn me to Montana, Colorado and of course Utah. I have recently had several opportunities to start exploring the east coast. I have also traveled to England, Scotland, France, Japan, New Zealand and Australia.

I love taking pictures of natural landscapes to city landscapes. My passion over the years has focused on ghost towns and wild horses.

I first heard about the wild horses of the west desert in 2018. I thought I would have some fun on the dirt roads and maybe see a horse or two. I was about 3 miles off the pavement when I came across a herd of over 100 wild horses. It was an amazing sight to see. I was in awe and just sat and watched the dynamics of the herd before getting my camera out.

I have enjoyed photographing the wild horses so much that I have started learning about other herds throughout the west. I have had the opportunity to see herds in Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Nevada and Arizona.

I am currently planning to try to see as many herds and I can throughout The United States and Canada.
