From the first moment I looked through the viewfinder of my grandma's polaroid camera I fell in love with capturing even the tiniest moments. Today the equipment has been upgraded but the love is still the same. For the last eight years I've been documenting Homestead Albania and all of it's friends aka the bird, plus a few adventures to some of the most majestic places around this beautiful country.
Kim Malaj lives on a vineyard and homestead in northern Albania with her husband, Arti, author of Northern Albanian Folk Tales, Myths and Legends. Although she is a Show Me State (Missouri) lady at heart (Go KC Chiefs and Royals!), she loves her life at Homestead Albania.
When she’s not writing, she tends to the garden, orchard, vineyard, and livestock. She’s also been known to brew up batches of raki and wine, and other sweet and savory treats made from the fruits and veggies produced in the garden. She is an avid photographer, an active blogger about the homestead, and a hobbyist drone pilot, learning the art of aerial photography and filming.
